My name is Carder Starr — President of Sea Starr Animal Health, Inc. — a privately held company in Rhode Island formed for the purpose of developing, producing and marketing animal health products. My late wife, Eileen Molloy-Starr, and I founded Sea Starr and developed the Sea Pet and the new Sea Vet line of animal health products as a means to provide much needed aid to pets and animals suffering from the pain of joint stiffness and joint cartilage deterioration.

 The Sea Pet line is the first in an anticipated series of products targeting the health of our very important family members. We have been able to grow rapidly and successfully through the dedicated efforts of a small group of investors — many of whom joined as a result of being customers who had experienced first-hand the benefits of the Sea Pet products with their pets.

 We found that shark cartilage naturally contained all of the compounds necessary to promote and maintain healthy joint cartilage — no need to buy and administer separate compounds. Nature had already perfected that part.

 My personal background includes the earning of a Bachelor's Degree from Brown University in Geological Sciences with an emphasis on oceanic sedimentation. After a period as a member of the ship's crew on the scientific research ships at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, I entered graduate school to continue my education — receiving a Master's Degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island with an emphasis on fisheries and oceanic law. For several years, I served on the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Seafood Council.

 I have always had a love for the oceans. We believe that there are many substances and products in the oceans that can help human beings and their companions live healthier lives. However, we are also very strong advocates for the sustainable and responsible harvests of these resources. There is a wealth of information yet to be learned from our interactions with the oceanic environment.

And lastly, but very importantly, our logo is a picture of our own dog, Gilbert. He is an English Shepherd -- sometimes referred to as a "farm collie".
