Sea Pet Super Joint Formula for Dogs & Cats provides 1,000 mg of MSM, 1,000 mg of shark cartilage along with an additional 500 mg of glucosamine sulfate per teaspoon. This formula powder is designed to be easily mixed into or sprinkled on your pet's normal daily diet as a nutritional supplement. The MSM, shark cartilage and glucosamine have been mixed with organic oat bran and garlic to enhance palatability and for ease of administration.
MSM (Methyl-sulfonyl-methane) is a naturally occurring sulfur compound found in animals and humans, as well as foods, grains and grasses. MSM is a nutritional supplement that provides biologically-active sulfur; a key component of connective tissue in animals and humans. MSM has been used for years to treat horses for a variety of joint and muscle afflictions, without the side effects of drugs.
Shark cartilage is a natural, whole food source of glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate and angiogenesis-inhibiting proteins. Shark cartilage not only helps to restore your pet's joint health but does it much more effectively and efficiently because the angiogenesis-inhibiting proteins help to prevent and control the cause of the damage to the joint cartilage.
